Kedarnath is at an altitude of 3584m.A magnificent temple was built by the Pandavas at the base of the Kedarnath peak’s south-eastern face. Now, millions of pilgrims come to offer their prayers to Lord Shiva.
The trek starts from Gaurikund where there is a hot water Sulphur spring. While approaching Kedarnath we pass through stately forests and come across some beautiful waterfalls. Kedarnath to Vasukital is a continuous ascent and a great trek. The view of Chaukhamba peaks and Mandakini valley is wonderful from here. Vasukital Lake, about ½ Kms in radius has crystal clear waters and will possibly take you into an immediate trance
As the legend goes... in the Mahabharata, while on their Himalayan Pilgrimage, the Pandavas decided to pay homage to Lord Shiva. But Lord Shiva was interested in meeting them as they were guilty of gotra hatya. Seeing the Pandavas coming, the Lord disguised himself as a bull. But the Pandavas saw through Shiva disguise. Delhi-Rishikesh - Gaurikund - Kedarnath - Vasukital - Gaurikund - Rishikesh-Delhi
Trekking Days:-
Day1:- On arrival at Delhi international airport/Railway station, welcome and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day2:- early morning departure for Rishikesh, sight seen in Haridwar & rajaji national park night stay at Hotel Rishikesh/ gust hoses,
Day3:- Drive to Gaurikund 209 Kms. Hot lunch enroot. Dinner and overnight at Hotel or lodge,
Day4:- 15 Kms trek to Kedarnath with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight at Lodge/Camp.
Day5:- 8 Kms trek to Vasukital with packed lunch, in the afternoon, trek back to Kedarnath. Dinner and overnight at Lodge/Camp
Day6:- 15 Km trek to Gaurikund with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight at Hotel or lodge,
Day7:- 209 Kms drive to Rishikesh. Hot lunch enroot. Arrival Rishikesh.

Day8:- early morning 240 Kms drive to Delhi, Tour Concludes
